Junior AI/ML Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Create conversational AI agents that engage with users, utilize tools and APIs, and transfer conversations to human agents as necessary.

• Develop retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines utilizing authorized information sources.

• Integrate AI agents with CRMs, ticketing systems, databases, and messaging platforms.

• Design and oversee APIs, which includes API gateways, authentication, rate limiting, and versioning.

• Assist in the development of voice agents employing speech-to-text, large language models, and text-to-speech capabilities in both English and Spanish.

• Leverage evaluations, automated testing, and safeguards to enhance accuracy, reliability, and safety.

• Deploy and maintain solutions through CI/CD processes, monitoring, and comprehensive documentation.

• Work collaboratively with engineering, CX design, and operations teams to transform prototypes into production-ready applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in software engineering or ML engineering; relevant internships and research experience are considered.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Knowledge of Git, Docker, and basic SQL.

• Experience with at least one cloud platform: Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Practical experience with an LLM API, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, or Azure OpenAI.

• Experience developing an AI agent that interacts with tools or APIs, utilizing frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or Semantic Kernel.

• Experience in constructing a RAG pipeline, including document chunking, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval tuning.

• Experience in creating and utilizing REST APIs, including authentication, rate limits, and versioning, with some familiarity with API gateways.

• Experience in connecting systems using webhooks, SDKs, or message queues, such as integrating an application with a CRM or database.

• Understanding of ML fundamentals, including embeddings, train/test splits, and evaluation metrics such as precision and recall.

• Proficient in written and spoken English and Spanish.

• Must be located in Colombia or Mexico.
