Java Tech Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design, development, and enhancement of scalable Spring Boot applications.

• Influence architectural choices and advocate for clean, modular, and maintainable Java code.

• Create and implement robust solutions utilizing relational (MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases.

• Establish and uphold software architecture best practices, including Layered Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Event-Driven Design.

• Mentor and assist engineers through code reviews, technical advice, and knowledge sharing.

• Work collaboratively with Product, DevOps, and Engineering teams to deliver top-quality solutions.

• Diagnose and enhance backend performance, resilience, and security.

• Contribute to the advancement of CI/CD automation and deployment processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience with Java & Spring Boot (microservices, REST APIs).

• Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects or mentoring engineering teams.

• Strong grasp of software architecture patterns (Layered Architecture, DDD, Event-Driven Design).

• Proficient in SQL & NoSQL databases.

• Familiarity with test-driven development (TDD) and testing best practices in Spring Boot (JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers).

• Experience with messaging systems (ActiveMQ, Kafka).

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for clarifying complex technical concepts.

• Good command of the English language (both written and spoken).
