Java Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

• Conduct research and assess various technologies.

• Collaborate with DevOps teams for containerizing and deploying applications.

• Assist with CI/CD pipeline integration.

• Participate in architectural discussions.

• Conduct code reviews to uphold robust engineering standards.

• Develop solutions for a client in the financial sector, supporting 150,000 workstations and 4,500 employees.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of experience in software development.

• Strong knowledge of Java 8 or higher.

• Understanding of SOLID principles and design patterns.

• Extensive experience with Spring Boot.

• Significant experience with REST web services.

• Familiarity with JPA and Hibernate.

• Experience with relational databases.

• Practical experience with hexagonal architecture.

• Knowledge of domain-driven design.

• Experience working within a microservices architecture.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities, including debugging and source control.

• Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English communication.

• Regular utilization of AI tools to enhance productivity, automate or minimize repetitive tasks, support decision-making, and produce higher-quality results.

• Capability to use AI tools responsibly, structure effective prompts, critically evaluate outputs, understand limitations, and take ownership of final results.

• Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure is a plus.

• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Jenkins or similar CI/CD tools is a plus.

• Familiarity with Apache Kafka or similar messaging platforms is beneficial.
