Java Software Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and uphold application functionalities for DDPS/PRS, encompassing MDP invoice/dispute/reconciliation capabilities, CGDP legacy support, and enhancements for the GLP-1 drug program.

• Fix software bugs and issues.

• Create reusable software components and improve database functionalities.

• Deploy code through the CMS CI/CD pipeline utilizing GitHub, Jenkins/CloudBees, JFrog Artifactory/XRay, SonarQube, and Snyk.

• Develop and sustain unit tests with Pytest/Unit Test and DBFit/FitNesse.

• Ensure a minimum of 80% automated unit test coverage for all new developments.

• Engage in Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.

• Keep source code and application documentation compliant with CMS standards.

• Contribute to sprint deliverables under the guidance of the Dev Team Lead and Senior Developer.

• Construct application features and enhancements via the Agile delivery process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Java application development.

• Proficient Java development skills with a proven track record of delivering production application features.

• Familiarity with Python for scripting and application support.

• Experience with Agentic AI or AI-assisted development tools.

• Knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, and SQS.

• Proficient in CI/CD pipelines and source control systems, including GitHub, Jenkins, and JFrog.

• Understanding of unit testing frameworks and automated test coverage.

• Capability to pass CMS and internal mandatory background checks for public trust.

• Must be eligible for employment in one of the specified U.S. states: Virginia, District of Columbia, Maryland, Tennessee, Florida, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, or Texas.
