Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services utilizing Java and Spring Boot;

• Contribute to the advancement of a microservices architecture, ensuring performance, resilience, and maintainability;

• Create and optimize RESTful APIs and integrations across distributed systems;

• Enhance system observability, monitoring, and logging capabilities;

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable solutions that meet business requirements;

• Engage in technical discussions, architectural decisions, and initiatives for continuous improvement;

• Adhere to engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, and automation;

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and cloud-native environments;

• Support containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, or related fields;

• Intermediate to Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken;

• Strong backend development experience with Java;

• Experience in designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and microservices;

• Proven experience in developing and scaling high-throughput, distributed applications;

• Familiarity with application monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or similar platforms;

• Knowledge of DevOps and cloud-native tools like Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, or similar technologies;

• Experience in Agile work environments;

• Solid understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving;

• Practical experience with Spring Framework technologies such as Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring MVC;

• Understanding of design patterns, software architecture, and development best practices;

• Experience with software testing concepts, including unit, integration, regression, stress testing, and test automation.
