IT Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Manage advanced escalations and deliver technical support for intricate infrastructure and networking challenges.

• Diagnose and assist with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.

• Set up and oversee file shares, permissions, SharePoint environments, and identity-related services.

• Resolve issues related to firewalls, VPNs, switching, routing, Wi-Fi, and overall site networking.

• Provide support for virtualization platforms, including VMware, Hyper-V, and AVD environments.

• Utilize PowerShell and automation tools to enhance administration and operational processes.

• Uphold comprehensive documentation, communication, and operational follow-through across support requests and escalations.

• Work collaboratively with L1, L2, Projects, and Engineering teams to address issues and enhance service delivery.

• Recognize recurring technical challenges and contribute to operational enhancements and standardization efforts.

• Ensure a high-quality support experience through professionalism, promptness, and technical accountability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in an MSP or comparable IT services setting.

• Extensive knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Azure, Active Directory, DNS, and networking technologies.

• Proven experience in troubleshooting complex server, firewall, VPN, wireless, and infrastructure issues.

• Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure Virtual Desktop.

• Experience working with RMM and PSA platforms.

• Preferred strong PowerShell scripting and automation experience.

• Exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining composure under pressure.

• Excellent communication skills coupled with a professional, client-focused approach.

• Strong documentation practices and consistent operational follow-through.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience is preferred.
