IT System Engineer – Virtualisierung, Infrastruktur

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Planning, executing, and overseeing virtualization solutions utilizing VMware vSphere and Proxmox.

• Management and upkeep of Dell PowerEdge servers.

• Administration and surveillance of Compellent and PowerStore storage systems.

• Support, configuration, and oversight of Veeam backup solutions.

• Analysis and ongoing enhancement of the IT infrastructure in collaboration with internal IT teams.

• Conducting capacity planning and performance optimization for virtual environments.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing VMware vSphere and Proxmox.

• Strong knowledge of virtual networking, storage integration, and high-availability setups.

• Experience with Dell PowerEdge servers as well as Compellent & PowerStore storage systems.

• Familiarity with Veeam Backup & Replication and Proxmox Backup Server for virtualized environments.

• Proficient in administering Windows Server or Linux systems.

• Analytical mindset with a solution-focused and proactive approach to work.

• Excellent proficiency in both German and English.
