IT System Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee end-user IT support for laptops, hardware, software, and access-related issues.

• Establish and manage onboarding and offboarding procedures for employee devices and accounts.

• Keep track of IT asset inventory, which includes hardware, licenses, and subscriptions.

• Work collaboratively with platform teams on CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and automation of deployments.

• Administer and oversee cloud infrastructure.

• Manage internal servers, networks, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Ensure system uptime, backups, and disaster recovery protocols are in place.

• Administer essential business SaaS tools.

• Handle user provisioning, access control, and optimization of licenses.

• Assess and introduce new tools as the company expands.

• Enforce and implement IT security policies.

• Assist with compliance initiatives.

• Monitor security vulnerabilities and manage patching and updates.

• Generate and maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles.

• Continuously enhance IT processes to support a growing, remote-friendly team.

• Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams on shared infrastructure requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• 7–9 years of experience in system administration, ideally within a startup or SaaS environment.

• Proficient understanding of Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems.

• Experience managing AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud platforms.

• Practical experience with Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 administration.

• Familiarity with DNS, VPNs, and firewalls.

• Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance frameworks.

• Strong troubleshooting capabilities.

• Excellent communication skills for assisting both technical and non-technical team members.

• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including occasional weekends and nights, to support business operations across different regions and on-call requirements.
