IT Service Operations Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Managing support tickets and overseeing events within the Operations team at the 2nd and 3rd level.

• Independently administering customer systems remotely with significant responsibility for fault analysis and resolution.

• Developing and implementing measures for optimization.

• Executing system updates in collaboration with our clients (across various technologies, including our proprietary hospital information system Orbis®).

• Collaborating closely with project management, external vendors, and colleagues from other departments.

• Implementing extensions and upgrades to the existing IT infrastructure, while assisting with troubleshooting and performance evaluations.

• Assuming overall technical responsibility within the project.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) or a technical degree.

• Strong knowledge in several of the following areas (or the desire to learn): Linux/Unix, Windows, Citrix, Oracle, Veritas Netbackup, Veeam, VMware, storage systems, cluster technologies, etc.

• A high degree of reliability and a confident demeanor toward customers.

• A consistently customer-focused and service-oriented mindset.

• An independent and goal-driven approach to work.

• Good communication skills, a strong team spirit, and resilience.

• Excellent German language skills and good proficiency in English.
