IT Service Management Intern, Spring 2027

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Assist in the provision of dependable IT services by engaging in daily IT Service Management activities.

• Acquire practical experience with ITIL processes such as Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Knowledge Management, and Service Asset & Configuration Management.

• Observe and support service operations.

• Keep IT Service Management documentation up to date.

• Participate in initiatives aimed at improving processes.

• Ensure adherence to company policies and relevant regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Junior or senior undergraduate, Master’s-level student, or recent graduate in Computer Science, ISDS, Business Administration, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5; a GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.

• Understanding of various Information Technology fields, including application development, systems support, networking, and operations.

• Familiarity with IT Service Management/ITIL Framework processes, which encompass Change Management, Incident Management, Problem Management, Service Level Management, Knowledge Management, Service Asset and Configuration Management, and Discovery.

• Experience with ServiceNow or other IT Service Management solutions is advantageous.

• Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.

• Knowledge of collaboration, automation, or AI-driven productivity tools like Microsoft Copilot or Power Platform is a plus.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Capacity for analytical thinking and professional idea presentation.

• Self-driven, adaptable to a dynamic work environment, and team-oriented.

• Undergraduates must be available to work 20 hours per week during the spring and fall semesters, and 30–35 hours per week during the summer.

• Basic understanding of healthcare strategic and technological trends.

• Successful completion of background and pre-employment drug screening is required prior to hiring.

• Individuals with felony convictions related to dishonesty or breach of trust must obtain written consent from their state insurance commissioner to work in the insurance sector.
