This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee security alerts, dashboards, and logs across Microsoft Defender, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Sentinel.
β’ Identify and respond to security incidents while tracking and prioritizing vulnerability remediation efforts.
β’ Manage and enhance Microsoft Defender security policies, configurations, and enterprise deployment.
β’ Utilize Microsoft Purview for Data Loss Prevention, eDiscovery, compliance enforcement, and safeguarding sensitive data.
β’ Create and maintain custom detection rules and alerts.
β’ Address malware, virus, and endpoint compromise incidents through forensic analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery.
β’ Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
β’ Record incident response activities, findings, and lessons learned.
β’ Analyze threat intelligence and proactively seek out threats using Microsoft Defender XDR.
β’ Formulate strategies against ransomware, spyware, trojans, and other forms of malware.
β’ Keep abreast of cybersecurity trends, attack techniques, and adversary tactics.
β’ Provide reports on security posture, incident metrics, and platform performance.
β’ Collaborate with IT and other departments to promote security best practices and system hardening.
β’ Support cybersecurity awareness training initiatives.
β’ Bachelor's degree in information technology, cybersecurity, a related field, or equivalent experience.
β’ Relevant cybersecurity certifications, such as Microsoft SC-100/200/300/400, CompTIA Security+/CySA+/SecurityX, or GIAC GSEC/GCIH.
β’ 3-5 years of proven experience managing, configuring, and utilizing Microsoft Defender, Purview, and Sentinel.
β’ Experience in supporting aerospace and defense organizations subject to CMMC in Microsoft 365 GCC High is preferred.
β’ Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
β’ Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
β’ Ability to guide and influence technical teams effectively.
β’ Proficiency with compliance tracking tools, GRC platforms, and project management tools is a plus.
β’ Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%.
β’ Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the necessary U.S. authorizations under ITAR.
