IT QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Develop, design, and implement comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for both manual and automated testing.

• Identify, document, and monitor defects, collaborating with development teams to ensure prompt resolution.

• Establish and uphold automated testing frameworks and tools.

• Perform performance, regression, and integration testing.

• Work closely with the IT Test Automation Manager, Product Owners/Managers, and stakeholders to comprehend requirements and maintain quality throughout the development lifecycle.

• Mentor junior QA team members and advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a strong emphasis on automation testing.

• Proficient in test automation using Playwright and familiar with version control systems like Git.

• Practical experience in testing applications developed on .NET, Angular, and SQL Server.

• Strong SQL capabilities for data validation, test data preparation, and backend verification against SQL Server.

• In-depth understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging abilities.

• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the capacity to collaborate effectively within a team.

• Candidates must be residents of an eligible state; Ardent Mills is not hiring in Alaska, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Hawaii, Mississippi, New Mexico, Rhode Island, or Wyoming.

• Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB Certified Tester, are preferred.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps, is preferred.

• Knowledge of performance testing tools such as JMeter or k6 and DevOps practices is beneficial.

• Expertise in API-level test automation is favored.

• Familiarity with XML, JSON, and REST web service technologies is advantageous.
