This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Oversee a team of project managers and senior project managers executing a portfolio of projects that align with strategic goals.
• Ensure project managers maintain documentation that includes scope, scheduling, status updates, budgeting, and risk management.
• Guide the team through organizational changes, uncertainties, and conflicting priorities.
• Synchronize IT project management, vendor project management, and operational leadership for initiatives across the enterprise.
• Manage resource allocation, staffing assignments, and project manager roles within the portfolio.
• Conduct interviews, hire, onboard, coach, mentor, and provide support to project management personnel.
• Act as an escalation point to eliminate obstacles, resolve issues, and escalate matters as necessary.
• Handle vendor relationships that support project management staffing needs.
• Monitor the financial performance of the portfolio and collaborate with finance on capital and operational expenditures.
• Establish and facilitate program steering committees and governance structures.
• Foster partnerships across clinical, operational, financial, design and construction, and technical divisions.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and business leaders to enhance platforms, enable AI and analytics, improve patient experiences, and streamline delivery processes.
• Enhance the organizational maturity and governance frameworks of Solution Delivery.
• Develop tools to automate project management deliverables and processes.
• Represent IT Solutions Delivery in enterprise forums and work in partnership with the EPMO.
• Convert business objectives into actionable roadmaps and coordinate cross-functional teams to achieve measurable results.
• Utilize metrics, insights, and continuous improvement methodologies to inform decisions, anticipate risks, and enhance delivery performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• More than 10 years of progressive experience managing complex IT programs or portfolios.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with IT governance, architecture, and cybersecurity frameworks is essential.
• Experience in healthcare IT environments is desirable.
• Proven success in leading project managers for enterprise-scale IT initiatives is preferred.
• Strong executive presence with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Expert-level proficiency with Smartsheet, ServiceNow, and JIRA.
• Capacity to balance strategic vision, business value, user experience, and technical feasibility.
• Ability to leverage metrics, insights, and continuous improvement practices to guide decision-making and enhance delivery performance.
