IT Procurement Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Source products and services from a diverse range of suppliers to secure optimal pricing terms.

• Keep track of price fluctuations, maintain pricing records, and uphold standard configurations.

• Comprehend the technical distinctions between various products and services and communicate these to decision-makers.

• Monitor the expiration of contracts and licenses, and prepare for renewal negotiations.

• Grasp capacity management and logistics to effectively handle lead times for products.

• Enhance supply chain resilience and diversity by establishing multiple supplier sources.

• Address product, usage, and licensing issues with suppliers.

• Review invoices for accuracy.

• Develop and analyze ongoing supplier spending trends to pinpoint opportunities for savings and improvement.

• Work collaboratively with key internal teams throughout the entire process, from procurement to delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, procurement, supply chain management, logistics, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain, ideally within the information technology sector.

• Extensive knowledge of contracted IT services, including SaaS applications, outsourced data center services, carrier services, and software licensing.

• Exceptional skills in contract and pricing negotiations.

• Strong aptitude for decision-making and numerical analysis.

• Proven experience in data collection and analysis, with the ability to report findings to decision-makers.

• Capability to foster robust relationships with key vendors.

• Must have legal eligibility to work without visa sponsorship.
