IT Platform Architect, Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop the technical underpinnings for the organization-wide Microsoft platform.

• Construct the architecture, validate a pilot migration, and deliver a documented, code-based platform as part of a greenfield initiative.

• Assume accountability for the project, provide functional leadership for IT coordination across subsidiaries, and report directly to the Group COO.

• Create automations using Terraform and PowerShell/Microsoft Graph, along with pipeline definitions.

• Design a tenant topology that includes a holding company tenant, a distinct academic tenant, and a scalable framework for external identities.

• Collaborate with a Microsoft licensing partner for permissions reviews and licensing management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as a Cloud, Platform, or Microsoft 365 Architect, emphasizing Microsoft Entra ID, Azure, and M365, preferably in greenfield projects.

• Extensive knowledge of Infrastructure as Code and automation tools such as Terraform, PowerShell, Microsoft Graph, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Proven experience in planning and executing tenant consolidations and migrations, along with Identity and Access Management solutions.

• Demonstrated qualifications through certifications including AZ-400, AZ-305, SC-300, and AZ-500/SC-500.

• Capability to independently execute complex technical initiatives while providing functional leadership to various stakeholders.

• Excellent German language proficiency at C1 level or higher.

• Strong command of spoken and written English.
