This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Take ownership of and manage the Google Workspace environment.
• Oversee internal IT infrastructure and business systems.
• Execute and oversee centralized software and licensing management.
• Handle device procurement, lifecycle management, and MDM.
• Ensure that employees receive necessary hardware, software, and access from day one.
• Lead and supervise a three-person Technical Support team.
• Establish team priorities, standards, and expectations.
• Create processes for triaging, resolving, and escalating technical issues.
• Monitor service performance and enhance employee experience.
• Manage internal IT security practices, including SSO, MFA, IAM, and access management.
• Support compliance with GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, and other relevant standards.
• Conduct security reviews, access audits, and risk assessments.
• Maintain secure processes for joiners, movers, and leavers.
• Automate onboarding, offboarding, access management, and provisioning workflows.
• Implement and take ownership of an ITSM/helpdesk solution.
• Utilize AI and automation to minimize manual IT tasks.
• Decrease costs associated with SaaS, cloud, hardware, and operations.
• Manage SSO and identity management strategy and audit permissions.
• Oversee internal IT disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Ensure that backup and recovery processes are established.
• Manage relationships with SaaS, hardware, cloud, and IT vendors.
• Negotiate contracts and assess technology tools.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in IT management, IT operations, or systems administration.
• Proven experience in managing or leading a technical support or IT support team.
• Strong practical experience with Google Workspace and business systems.
• Familiarity with MDM, SSO, IAM, and identity/access management.
• Comprehensive understanding of internal IT security and cybersecurity best practices.
• Experience supporting GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC 2, or similar compliance frameworks.
• Proven track record in implementing and automating IT workflows, especially onboarding and offboarding.
• Experience managing IT vendors, SaaS contracts, and technology budgets.
• Background in a remote-first SaaS or technology environment.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• A pragmatic and autonomous approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, remote-first setting.
• Availability for at least 4 hours of overlap with the UK timezone.
• Sponsorship is not available.
