IT Lead – Software Engineering Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Spearhead the technical strategy of the team for supporting payment systems, ensuring 24/7 availability, resilience, and performance of services.

• Oversee critical incidents, reduce operational risks, and guarantee regulatory compliance and operational governance.

• Organize monitoring, observability, and capacity planning for environments, along with metrics to sustain service continuity.

• Enhance operations continually through automation and process improvements.

• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure platform stability and growth.

• Assist developers by assigning technical tasks as necessary.

• Eliminate obstacles and make engineering-related decisions.

• Ensure the quality of outputs.

• Propel technical advancements and foster continuous learning and development of the organization’s technologies.

• Guide the team with a data-driven approach to analysis, decision-making, and prioritization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in technical leadership for the support and operation of critical systems.

• Background in payments, particularly with PIX and bank integrations.

• Expertise in high-availability environments, high-volume transactional processing, and ongoing 24/7 operations.

• Experience in managing critical incidents, conducting root cause analysis (RCA), and executing remediation plans.

• Proficiency in observability and monitoring for applications, infrastructure, and transactions.

• Familiarity with APIs, messaging systems, integrations, and distributed architectures.

• Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases in critical environments.

• Understanding of DevOps, SRE practices, and operational automation.

• Awareness of regulatory requirements in the financial sector.

• Experience with agile methodologies and demand management.

• Proficient in Java and its ecosystem: Core Java, J2EE, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch.

• Experience in developing scalable, service-oriented applications.

• Familiarity with public cloud (GCP) and private cloud environments.
