IT Infrastructure Engineer, Windows, Active Directory, VMware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance the server infrastructure for both Windows and Linux environments.

• Oversee and manage virtualization, storage, and backup solutions.

• Administer Windows Active Directory along with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Provide support for enterprise applications and services hosted on Windows and Linux platforms, which includes email and business systems.

• Manage infrastructure management and supporting systems that encompass monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control services.

• Plan and execute operating system patching and infrastructure upgrades in alignment with company guidelines.

• Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects and take part in larger infrastructure initiatives.

• Conduct qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization for infrastructure systems.

• Keep an accurate inventory of infrastructure assets, warranties, and associated services.

• Coordinate with infrastructure vendors, including monitoring deliveries, executing contracts, and managing vendor activities.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system standards.

• Collaborate with the Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams on cross-domain initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

• Extensive hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Practical knowledge of virtualization technologies.

• Experience in administering Windows and/or Linux servers.

• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA technologies.

• Practical experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Experience in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects.

• Proficiency in infrastructure monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues while maintaining detailed technical documentation.

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V technologies.

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure.

• Experience with Azure Arc and Azure Update Manager.

• Knowledge of Zabbix or other infrastructure monitoring platforms.

• Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages, along with infrastructure automation.

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.

• Familiarity with Veeam or similar backup technologies.

• Understanding of ITIL, change management, qualification, and validation processes.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, virtualization, Linux, or other infrastructure domains.
