IT Infrastructure Engineer, Windows, Active Directory, VMware

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Estonia.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance server infrastructure for both Windows and Linux platforms.

• Oversee and sustain virtualization, storage, and backup systems.

• Administer Windows Active Directory and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI).

• Provide support for enterprise applications and services on Windows and Linux, including email and business systems.

• Manage infrastructure management systems and supporting operations, covering monitoring, patch management, configuration management, and access control services.

• Plan and carry out OS patching and infrastructure upgrades in line with company policies.

• Lead small to medium-sized infrastructure projects while also participating in larger infrastructure initiatives.

• Conduct qualification, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of infrastructure systems.

• Keep an accurate inventory of infrastructure assets, warranties, and associated services.

• Coordinate with infrastructure vendors, including managing deliveries, contract execution, and vendor-related activities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and system standards.

• Collaborate with Network & Connectivity and Cloud & Modern Workplace teams on cross-domain projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or a relevant field.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.

• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory.

• Practical experience with virtualization technologies.

• Experience in administering Windows and/or Linux servers.

• Familiarity with enterprise infrastructure services such as PKI and email/MTA technologies.

• Practical experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.

• Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing infrastructure projects.

• Experience in infrastructure monitoring, patch management, and configuration management.

• Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues while maintaining detailed technical documentation.

• Experience with VMware, Proxmox, or Hyper-V.

• Experience with Microsoft Azure and hybrid infrastructure setups.

• Familiarity with Azure Arc and Azure Update Manager.

• Experience with Zabbix or comparable infrastructure monitoring platforms.

• Proficiency in PowerShell or other scripting languages for infrastructure automation.

• Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Sendmail, or Postfix.

• Familiarity with Veeam or similar backup technologies.

• Understanding of ITIL, change management, qualification, and validation processes.

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft, virtualization, Linux, or other infrastructure areas.
