IT FIPS Compliance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Spearhead initiatives to ensure compliance with FIPS standards within the organization.

• Develop and uphold security protocols to adhere to FIPS 140-2/140-3 requirements.

• Perform regular evaluations of application security measures.

• Offer specialized knowledge in cryptography and TLS protocols.

• Work alongside application and infrastructure stakeholders to resolve security issues and vulnerabilities.

• Keep abreast of security trends and technologies to enhance the organization’s security framework.

• Assess and interpret security requirements while applying risk management strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with FIPS-approved algorithms (AES, SHA-3, RSA) and cryptographic key management (Advanced).

• At least 3 years of experience with cryptographic module requirements, security levels, and validation processes (CMVP) (Advanced).

• Over 2 years of experience in stakeholder management (Intermediate).

• Exposure to NIST 800-171 Controls or 800-53 is advantageous.

• Experience with CMMC Assessment is a plus.
