IT Engineering Manager – Marketing Technologies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of direct reports within the IT Engineering department.

• Work closely with executive leadership on datacenter lifecycle management, contract renewals, power footprint negotiations, and capacity expansions.

• Supervise and prioritize the execution of technical projects, including infrastructure upgrades and the decommissioning of legacy environments.

• Ensure that deliverables align with organizational goals and adapt to any changes in direction.

• Manage costs by overseeing internal resources and controlling expenditures.

• Create processes for generating management reports, statistics, and performance metrics.

• Foster an environment that encourages staff to become self-sufficient and proficient.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering field, or equivalent professional experience.

• A minimum of 7+ years of progressive experience in infrastructure engineering or cloud operations.

• Must showcase recent and proven experience in balancing daily management responsibilities with direct, hands-on technical execution.

• Extensive hands-on experience in engineering, maintaining, and configuring Ubuntu environments, Puppet automation platforms, and bare-metal orchestration tools (MAAS).

• Proven hands-on experience in executing datacenter footprint migrations and managing virtualization boundaries (including OpenStack, LXD, KVM, and ESXi lifecycles).

• Strong hands-on knowledge of Active Directory management, enterprise certificate enrollment processes, and identity tools.

• In-depth, hands-on familiarity with the complexities of CEPH architecture and administration for long-term persistent storage.

• Technical expertise in evaluating, planning, and actively managing physical/SAN storage equipment.
