IT Communications Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and implement internal communication strategies that support technology initiatives, transformation efforts, and IT priorities.

• Create communication plans, stakeholder messaging, FAQs, and readiness materials tailored for significant change initiatives.

• Develop, edit, and oversee internal communications through various channels including email, SharePoint intranet, Microsoft Teams, newsletters, videos, and employee resources.

• Manage communication projects from start to finish, ensuring adherence to timelines, metrics, employee feedback, and adoption statistics.

• Work collaboratively with IT, HR, Corporate Communications, and business stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging and provide communications guidance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Organizational Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline.

• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in internal communications, change communications, or corporate communications.

• Proven project management skills.

• Experience in supporting technology initiatives, digital transformation, or enterprise change programs.

• Outstanding writing and editing abilities across various communication platforms.

• Capacity to juggle multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and adhere to deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal skills with experience collaborating across technical and business teams.

• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt effectively to evolving priorities.

• Preferred: Experience in telecommunications, enterprise technology organizations, or IT departments.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Microsoft 365, AI-enabled workplace technologies, and internal communication platforms like Workshop.

• Preferred: Understanding of change management methodologies such as Prosci or ADKAR.
