Lead Internal Communications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Create and implement global internal communication strategies that link business priorities with clear and consistent messaging for various teams and audiences.

• Lead long-term, impactful communication initiatives from the strategic phase to execution.

• Develop communication frameworks and best practices aimed at enhancing consistency, effectiveness, and organizational alignment.

• Provide guidance to senior leaders on communication strategy, executive messaging, employee narratives, and sensitive business situations.

• Set success metrics, assess communication effectiveness, and refine strategies and employee engagement based on insights.

• Craft executive and enterprise communications, encompassing all-hands presentations, AMA content, leadership updates, and company announcements.

• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Brand & Communications, Marketing, People, Engineering, Product, and other business areas.

• Utilize AI for research, drafting, synthesis, and iteration while ensuring quality, accuracy, and audience relevance.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in internal or executive communications.

• Demonstrated success in independently leading enterprise communication strategies that align with business priorities, influence executive stakeholders, and yield measurable organizational results.

• Experience managing communications for significant company events such as all-hands meetings, AMAs, executive announcements, reorganizations, and cultural initiatives.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to distill complex business topics into clear, engaging narratives for a variety of audiences.

• Strong executive presence with the ability to advise senior leaders on messaging, narrative creation, organizational change, and employee communication strategies.

• Proficient in establishing scalable communication programs, operational models, and best practices.

• Data-driven approach to measuring and continuously improving communication effectiveness, team performance, and organizational outcomes.

• Excellent editorial judgment.

• Ability to incorporate AI into communication workflows while maintaining accountability for the final outputs.
