IT Audit Intern

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +46 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist with information technology audits, cybersecurity, data privacy, risk management, and governance initiatives.

• Analyze the efficacy of controls safeguarding organizational assets, sensitive data, and essential business systems.

• Aid in the assessment of technology-related procedures and controls.

• Contribute to daily audit operations and engage in IT assurance and advisory projects.

• Evaluate technology and security vulnerabilities.

• Conduct research and perform analysis.

• Record audit findings and generate suggestions for process enhancements.

• Take part in system implementation evaluations and project management oversight.

• Engage in planning and executing projects and initiatives.

• Carry out research and reporting, including providing recommendations or alternative action plans.

• Collaborate with IT Audit, Information Security, Privacy, Risk Management, business professionals, colleagues, and stakeholders.

• Execute related studies, enrichment programs, and various job-related tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Enrollment in a recognized college or university baccalaureate program, either full-time or part-time.

• Applicants must be legally authorized to work independently in the U.S.

• This position does not provide visa sponsorship.

• Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Adherence to HIPAA, data security protocols, company policies, training mandates, and the Code of Business Conduct is required.
