This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Join a team that is revolutionizing the power sector in northern and eastern Maine.
• The IT Analyst II serves as an intermediate technical role, accountable for the support, maintenance, design, and development of assigned Versant Power Information Systems.
• Assists with the design, development, and testing of new applications, as well as modifications and upgrades related to specified applications and their associated integration tools.
• Offers technical support, maintenance, development, programming, and troubleshooting for the Customer Information System (CIS) and its integration with other systems.
• Supplies documentation, project tracking, and management reporting to support the department's work plan.
• Provides technical insights for Disaster Recovery planning and engages in annual Technical Asset Review updates to ensure effective asset life cycle management.
• Actively participates in CIS Team meetings and contributes to the decision-making processes.
• Engages in after-hours call-outs for application support.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned, including specific duties connected with System Restoration and the System Emergency Operations Plan (SEOP).
• A degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in a client-focused IT support role is necessary.
• A solid understanding of Customer Information Systems (CIS), Enterprise Resource Planning systems (ERP), and billing systems is essential.
• Proficiency in Oracle is preferred, along with familiarity with other relational databases such as MSSQL or MySQL.
• Strong experience in writing SQL is mandatory, while experience with PL/SQL is preferred.
• Expertise in reporting with one or more tools (Cognos, TM1, SQL Server Reporting Services, and/or Crystal Reports) is advantageous.
• A strong customer service ethic is essential.
• Capability to work independently or collaboratively in teams, with minimal or no supervision.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, is expected; knowledge of MS Project is a plus.
• Willingness to travel for training and User Group participation is necessary.
• A valid driver's license is required.
• Non-Bargaining Unit, Regular, and Term employees who have demonstrated at least six (6) months of satisfactory job performance and attendance in their current role are eligible to apply for posted positions.
• Work hours are from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday.
• Off-hour monitoring of emergencies is expected.
