This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Provide assistance for daily IT challenges, diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues, while aiding users primarily within a Windows environment alongside some macOS devices.
• Perform installation and configuration of PCs, laptops, and peripherals such as printers.
• Oversee and monitor network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN) while supporting troubleshooting and fault resolution efforts.
• Administer and monitor the AWS-based server environment (EC2, S3, RDS, ElastiCache with Valkey and Redis, ELB, Lambda), ensuring stability and performance through continuous monitoring, as well as managing backup and recovery systems.
• Conduct regular backups and contribute to disaster recovery planning and data restoration efforts.
• Assist in the implementation of IT security measures, managing antivirus solutions and firewalls, while enhancing employee awareness of IT security protocols.
• Document IT systems, processes, and changes, maintain a knowledge base, and generate reports.
• Facilitate user training on IT systems, new applications, and security policies.
• Engage in IT projects, support the rollout of new systems, and collaborate closely with business units and external service providers.
• Receive, prioritize, and manage support tickets in Jira, while escalating complex issues and ensuring timely resolution of problems.
• Completed IT training or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience in IT support (1st and 2nd level) and user assistance.
• Strong expertise in Windows environments; basic understanding of macOS.
• Familiarity with Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (user and rights management).
• Knowledge in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of clients and peripherals.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN, WAN, VPN) and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, VPC) is advantageous.
• Understanding of backup, monitoring, and IT security (IAM, antivirus, firewalls).
• Ideally, experience with Terraform and Docker.

• Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Jira) and documentation practices.
