This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support the processing of all research applications across all Campuses reviewed by the IRB Committee in compliance with federal regulations.
• Aid in conducting initial reviews of IRB applications to verify adherence to The Chicago School IRB policies and federal guidelines.
• Assist in addressing inquiries from students and faculty regarding research initiatives.
• Evaluate requests for IRB Exemption.
• Assess Modification Requests.
• Distribute applications to IRB members for their evaluation.
• Prepare documentation for and participate in IRB Meetings.
• Draft meeting minutes from the IRB sessions.
• Prepare all correspondence directed to researchers that communicates the IRB Committee's decisions and conditions for IRB approval.
• Help maintain the IRB database.
• Assist in facilitating training sessions for students and faculty.
• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the IRB Director.
• A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in IRB Administration.
• Certified IRB Professional or willingness to achieve certification within one year.
• Familiarity with OHRP regulations concerning the protection of human research participants.
• Understanding of ethical research principles involving human subjects.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong analytical, time management, and multitasking capabilities.
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
• Competence in completing assignments and adapting to evolving requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and Excel applications.
