This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Deliver essential administrative and overflow prosecution assistance to the Firm's Intellectual Property practice.
• Prepare and submit U.S. patent applications, Information Disclosure Statements, and various patent prosecution documents.
• Review incoming communications from the USPTO and WIPO and relay correspondence to clients.
• Prepare trademark renewals and engage in quality control processes for patent submissions.
• Maintain electronic records and support with docket reports.
• Monitor billable hours and provide coverage for team members during their absences.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• A minimum of two years of administrative or legal support experience is necessary.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel), are required.
• Experience with USPTO systems, such as Patent Center, TSDR, EPAS, and ETAS, is preferred.
• Familiarity with intellectual property docketing systems is an advantage.
