iOS Developer – Contract Role

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take full ownership of iOS features from design handoff through to development, testing, and release.

• Create, develop, and sustain native iOS applications in Swift utilizing SwiftUI and UIKit.

• Convert Figma designs into seamless, accessible, and pixel-perfect interfaces.

• Integrate REST and GraphQL APIs, covering aspects such as authentication, error management, caching, and offline functionality.

• Work alongside backend engineers to outline API contracts and evaluate endpoints using Postman or Charles Proxy.

• Develop unit and UI tests with XCTest and ensure a tidy, modular codebase.

• Configure code signing, certificates, provisioning profiles, and Xcode builds.

• Oversee QA, UAT, and production builds using Xcode schemes and build settings.

• Upload builds to App Store Connect, carry out TestFlight beta testing, and respond to tester feedback.

• Prepare App Store listings and handle submission, App Review, production releases, and phased rollouts.

• Track post-launch crashes and performance metrics using Instruments, Crashlytics, or Sentry.

• Collaborate with backend, Android, design, and QA teams within an Agile setting.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional iOS development experience with at least one app available on the App Store.

• Practical experience in guiding apps from design to deployment, including TestFlight beta distribution and App Store submission.

• Demonstrated experience in integrating RESTful APIs into iOS applications using URLSession or Alamofire, with JSON parsing through Codable.

• Strong expertise in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.

• Comprehensive understanding of iOS architecture patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, or TCA.

• Experience with Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, and Core Data or SwiftData.

• Knowledge of Apple's Human Interface Guidelines and accessibility standards.

• Proficiency with Xcode, Swift Package Manager, and Git hosted on Azure DevOps Repos.

• Preferred: experience with CI/CD for mobile (Xcode Cloud, Fastlane, Bitrise, or GitHub Actions).

• Preferred: understanding of push notifications, in-app purchases, widgets, or App Clips.

• Preferred: familiarity with Objective-C codebases.

• Preferred: knowledge of analytics, feature flags, and A/B testing.

• Preferred: contributions to open-source Swift projects or a robust portfolio of applications.

• Preferred: acquaintance with .NET 8 APIs and PostgreSQL.
