Investment Banking Expert

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create specific and accurate grading criteria for investment banking deliverables, such as financial models, valuation analyses, pitch books, CIMs, transaction documents, deal memos, and presentations for boards or investment committees.

• Review both AI-generated and human-produced work against defined criteria, providing thorough written justifications for each evaluation.

• Examine the accuracy, completeness, analytical rigor, formatting, and professional quality of banking deliverables.

• Utilize consistent and objective judgment to ensure that evaluation outcomes are reproducible, defensible, and consistent with real-world investment banking standards.

• Detect analytical mistakes, flawed assumptions, inconsistencies, formatting errors, and reasoning gaps that may impact the quality of deliverables.

• Integrate feedback from senior reviewers and enhance evaluation methods and scoring systems.

• Convert practical investment banking insights into clear standards for AI evaluation and training.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in investment banking, ideally at the Associate level or higher.

• Experience at a prominent global investment bank, top advisory boutique, or a similar financial institution.

• Knowledge in M&A, investment banking coverage, or capital markets.

• Proficient in three-statement financial modeling, DCF valuation, LBO modeling, comparable company and precedent transaction analysis, merger and transaction modeling, valuation analysis and judgment, deal-process documentation, pitch books and CIMs, and materials for boards and investment committees.

• Strong grasp of professional investment banking standards regarding accuracy, presentation, formatting, and quality.

• Excellent written communication skills for articulating whether work meets professional benchmarks.

• Highly detail-oriented and consistent, applying structured evaluation criteria objectively.

• Open to feedback and adept at calibrating judgment based on insights from seasoned professionals.

• Prior experience in AI training, model evaluation, data annotation, or human-data projects is a significant advantage.
