This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Design intricate deal scenarios for M&A, capital markets, leveraged finance, valuation, financial modeling, and transaction execution.
• Develop reference outputs and evaluation rubrics that embody seasoned investment banking judgment.
• Create and assess scenarios related to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, strategic transactions, capital raises, debt financing, and leveraged transactions.
• Evaluate deal recommendations based on financial viability, strategic alignment, and execution quality.
• Produce reference deal analyses, executive-level transaction narratives, pitch books, valuation materials, transaction summaries, and strategic recommendations.
• Develop and analyze DCF, comparable company, precedent transaction, LBO, and other sophisticated valuation models.
• Assess assumptions, sensitivities, valuation ranges, financial drivers, capital structures, financing alternatives, and transaction risks.
• Evaluate market data, precedent transactions, trading comparables, and transaction assumptions using professional financial-data platforms.
• Review AI-generated outputs for financial accuracy, strategic insight, modeling quality, and transaction realism.
• Identify modeling errors, weak assumptions, incomplete recommendations, and analytical inconsistencies.
• Provide clear written justifications that support evaluation decisions.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in investment banking, M&A advisory, capital markets, leveraged finance, or a closely related field.
• Senior-level experience within a bulge-bracket bank, elite boutique, major financial institution, or a comparable advisory environment.
• Direct responsibility for large-scale deal execution, capital raises, strategic advisory mandates, or complex financial transactions.
• Strong proficiency in DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transactions, LBO modeling, and related valuation methodologies.
• Deep knowledge of transaction mechanics, due diligence, financing processes, and board-level advisory work.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet, and other professional investment banking tools.
• Experience with regulatory review, securities considerations, antitrust processes, and transaction approvals is highly valued.
• Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial reasoning clearly and precisely.
• Experience in developing financial-model training materials, transaction documentation, pitch books, or evaluation rubrics is advantageous.
• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information belonging to any employer, client, institution, or other third party.
• H1-B and STEM OPT support are not available for this engagement.
