Inventory Control Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +34 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee inventory management initiatives within pharmacy operations, encompassing physical inventories, cycle counts, reconciliations, and investigations of discrepancies.

• Evaluate inventory data to pinpoint root causes and minimize adjustments, write-offs, expired items, surplus inventory, and shrinkage.

• Develop standardized procedures for receiving, storage, inventory movement, dispensing, returns, transfers, quarantine, and product disposition.

• Track inventory accuracy, days of inventory on hand, turnover rates, expirations, and other essential performance indicators.

• Create dashboards and reports that highlight inventory risks, trends, and anomalies.

• Ensure compliance with DSCSA regulations, including product traceability, transaction records, product validation, record retention, and investigations of suspect products.

• Collaborate with Pharmacy Operations, Procurement, Supply Chain, Finance, Compliance, Data, Product, and Engineering teams to enhance inventory controls.

• Formulate standard operating procedures and training materials for inventory management processes.

• Enhance inventory systems and automate manual controls and reporting processes.

• Lead and mentor inventory team members while establishing measurable performance criteria.

• Assist with audits, new pharmacy setups, system implementations, and operational growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant work experience.

• Significant experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), preferably Tecsys.

• Background in managing inventory within pharmacy operations, supply chain, warehousing, distribution, manufacturing, or similar environments.

• Proven experience leading physical inventories, cycle counts, inventory reconciliations, and investigations of discrepancies.

• Capability to conduct root-cause analysis utilizing inventory transactions, operational data, and process documentation.

• Familiarity with inventory control methodologies, including cycle-count programs, adjustment controls, inventory aging, and loss prevention strategies.

• Proficient in inventory management, warehouse management, enterprise resource planning, or comparable systems.

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or equivalent spreadsheet software, including pivot tables, lookup functions, formulas, and data analysis techniques.

• Proficient in SQL, Looker, Net Suite, or Power BI.

• Experience in generating inventory reports, dashboards, or performance metrics.

• Knowledge of developing and implementing standard operating procedures and inventory controls.

• Experience in training staff on inventory systems, procedures, and compliance standards.

• Background in managing or supervising inventory-related tasks and assessing team performance.

• Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended durations, including stooping, bending, reaching, making repetitive computer movements, and lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and relocating objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

• Excellent verbal communication skills, ability to discern auditory information, and visual acuity.
