This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Independent exploration of new approaches for the fusion of radar and camera data.
• Development and evaluation of methods for semantic scene analysis and/or 3D scene representation.
• Planning and conducting experiments.
• Comparison of approaches with the current state of research.
• Analysis of results and derivation of insights for improving multimodal perception systems.
• Collaboration with doctoral researchers on projects related to radar-camera fusion and semantic mapping for autonomous vehicles.
• Excellent academic performance.
• Enrolled student in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Knowledge of sensors for autonomous driving and measurement technology.
• Programming skills and practical experience in Python and/or C++.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
• Open, team-oriented, and passionate about autonomous driving systems and solving challenging technical problems.
• Initial research experience, such as internships, projects, scientific publications, or programming competitions, is advantageous.
• Availability for 3–6 months and 35 hours per week.
