This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee, audit, and implement payroll processes across more than 15 international countries, encompassing payroll inputs, validation, approvals, funding coordination, reconciliations, statutory filings, and post-payroll activities.
• Direct the payroll calendar and operational rhythm across different countries, managing dependencies, deadlines, exceptions, and risks.
• Collaborate with local payroll providers to sustain regional pay schedules and statutory processing timelines.
• Supervise global equity compensation payroll processing for RSUs and stock options while ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance across international tax jurisdictions.
• Serve as the functional lead on payroll technology initiatives utilizing Workday to automate workflows, enhance configurations, develop custom reporting, and implement global payroll solutions.
• Collaborate with Benefits, People Operations, Legal, and Finance teams.
• Manage relationships with external vendors and third-party tax fulfillment partners.
• Create, document, and enforce global payroll policies, SOX controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Assist in audit readiness, M&A integrations, new country market entries, and crucial cross-functional business launches.
• Provide accurate, timely, compliant, and employee-focused payroll outcomes for the international workforce.
• 5–7+ years of progressive payroll operations experience in a high-growth, publicly traded technology company with a global presence.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in payroll, accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in Workday Payroll, including reporting, configuration, and integrations.
• Experience with global payroll software platforms.
• Advanced skills in Excel/Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs, INDEX/MATCH, and pivot tables.
• Comprehensive understanding of global equity taxation, statutory compliance, international labor laws, and multi-currency payroll distribution.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• High level of discretion when managing confidential information.
• Excellent communication abilities for effective cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in responding to internal, external, statutory, and financial audit inquiries is a plus.
• Familiarity with automation or AI tools applied to payroll operations, analytics, controls, case management, or knowledge documentation is advantageous.
• Background in providing customer service across various regions, cultures, and time zones is a bonus.
• Experience in publicly traded, technology, or high-growth companies, particularly in supporting international expansion or payroll transformation, is a plus.
