
International Fragrance Sourcing Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Identify and evaluate international wholesalers, exporters, and parallel-market distributors dealing in authentic full-size fragrances.
• Establish direct relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing, minimum order quantities, and payment conditions.
• Verify product authenticity and traceability, addressing counterfeit risks and ensuring trademark/import compliance.
• Oversee the entire sourcing process, from supplier identification and sampling to quality assessments, purchase orders, and logistics management.
• Track customs documentation, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and other import paperwork.
• Analyze international pricing trends and excess/closeout inventory to uncover potential deals.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to inspect incoming products for damage, mislabeling, or specification discrepancies.
• Maintain supplier scorecards that evaluate reliability, pricing, lead times, and potential issues.
• Monitor trademark disputes and legal actions involving gray-market fragrance distributors and highlight risks.
• Report to the COO and work in conjunction with Purchasing, Quality, and Legal departments.
• Over 10 years of experience in international sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Preferably possess experience in the fragrance, beauty, or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sectors.
• Direct experience with sourcing from gray-market or parallel-import channels.
• An established network or the ability to rapidly create relationships with international fragrance wholesalers and exporters.
• Proficient in interpreting customs and trade data, including bills of lading and import/export records.
• Strong negotiation capabilities and experience in managing supplier contracts across various currencies and time zones.
• Familiarity with trademark laws and parallel-import regulations for consumer goods.
• Willingness to travel internationally to engage with suppliers and inspect products.
• Preferred: relationships with fragrance wholesalers in Dubai, Europe, or Singapore.
• Preferred: experience in fragrance subscription services, discount beauty products, or off-price retail.
• Preferred: proficiency in a second language, such as Arabic or Dutch.
