This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate with the SDSN Youth leadership team to enhance relationships with both alumni and current members.
• Participate in recruitment efforts, which include outreach, application management, and communication with candidates.
• Ensure effective internal communication systems are in place.
• Assist with the internal administrative duties of the program.
• Comply with SDSN Youth’s code of conduct and the guiding principles of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
• Update and maintain internal databases, directories, and contact information.
• Keep internal documentation accurate, accessible, and up-to-date.
• Draft, revise, and organize internal documents, guidelines, and templates.
• Aid in the distribution of internal announcements and updates.
• Design and execute activities and initiatives for alumni engagement.
• Keep alumni contact databases and records current and organized.
• Assist in the planning and coordination of assembly activities or meetings to encourage participation and engagement.
• Maintain proactive communication with the team and consistently report to the SDSN Youth Global Manager.
• Aged between 18–30, with flexibility extending up to 35 years old.
• Strong proficiency in English, encompassing writing, speaking, and listening skills.
• Previous involvement in student or youth leadership roles.
• A keen interest in youth engagement and sustainable development.
• A deep passion for the mission of SDSN Youth, the Sustainable Development Goals, and the Paris Agreement on climate change.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player with strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Capacity to coordinate and manage workload across multiple projects and teams.
• Competence in effective communication and consistent reporting.
• Availability of time and resources to commit to the role; candidates with numerous overlapping obligations will be ineligible.
• Relevant professional or volunteer experience, especially in operations, internal communications, or people and culture.
• Familiarity with communications and management software, including Google Suite.
• Completion of SDSN Youth online induction courses, guidelines review, and other available training is required.
• Commitment to 10 flexible hours per week.
• An initial one-year mandate, with a three-month probationary period.
• Proactive communication with the team is essential.
• This is a voluntary role; no monetary compensation is specified.
• Flexible commitment of 10 hours per week.
• The position may be extended based on a review of work performance.
