Digital Communications Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.

📋 Description

• Develop exceptional graphics, short-form videos, and multimedia materials for social media, email, web, and internal communication channels.

• Ensure that all visual content is consistent with UMGC brand standards and effectively engages the target audience.

• Conceptualize, shoot, and edit video content that is optimized for digital platforms and customized for various audiences and channels.

• Oversee visual assets within the editorial calendar.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Prepare content for distribution across social media and web platforms.

• Assist or become cross-trained in basic community management, which includes monitoring and responding to audience engagement using tools like Sprout Social.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.

• 3 to 5 years of experience in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field is required.

• A strong portfolio showcasing graphic design, video production, and digital content creation for web, email, and social media platforms.

• Proficiency in Canva or similar design software.

• Familiarity with Sprout Social or equivalent social media scheduling and analytics tools.

• Basic working knowledge of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or a comparable web content management system (CMS).

• Capability to perform basic photo and video editing tasks.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks independently.
