Internal Audit Reviewer – External Quality Assessment

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Perform external quality assessments in accordance with IIA Global Internal Audit Standards and GAGAS, as applicable.

• Evaluate audit charters, methodologies, workpapers, and Quality Assurance and Improvement Programs (QAIP).

• Conduct interviews with stakeholders and benchmark industry practices.

• Provide the conformance opinion and make recommendations.

• When authorized, contribute qualifications and past-performance narratives to AlphaGov proposals.

• Engage in current-state assessments for a state court system's internal audit division.

• Verify the scope, schedule, and fee prior to the commencement of each engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in internal audit, which includes leading or participating in external quality assessments.

• CIA certification is required.

• Must be comfortable working as a 1099 project-based consultant.

• IIA QA certification or QAR training is a plus.

• Experience in government or judiciary audits is preferred.

• CPA or CGAP certification is also advantageous.
