Internal Audit – Investigations Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hong Kong.

📋 Description

• Lead and perform thorough internal investigations regarding allegations of fraud, misconduct, and breaches of company policies or laws.

• Work in collaboration with HR, Legal, Compliance, and various departments to collect information and documentation.

• Utilize forensic analysis and investigative methods to reveal facts and comprehend the timeline of events.

• Create comprehensive investigation reports that summarize findings and propose corrective measures.

• Uphold confidentiality and sensitivity throughout the course of investigations.

• Engage in the planning and execution of internal audits across business units, concentrating on financial, operational, and compliance risks.

• Assess internal controls to identify weaknesses and opportunities for enhancement.

• Offer practical, innovative, and value-added solutions to audit-related challenges.

• Assist in formulating the annual audit plan based on risk assessment methodologies.

• Draft audit reports that convey findings and recommendations to management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CFE) is preferred.

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in internal investigations, auditing, or a comparable role within a corporate environment.

• Proven ability to manage sensitive investigations with discretion, integrity, and a strong commitment to confidentiality.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a talent for interpreting complex information and data.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to senior management.

• In-depth knowledge of forensic principles, fraud investigation techniques, and internal audit standards and practices.

• Proficient in utilizing investigation and audit software tools.

• Capable of employing data analytics to detect potential fraud incidents.

• Ability to work independently, handle multiple priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment.
