This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Respond to incoming phone inquiries and manage customer and prospect questions promptly and professionally, serving as the primary internal contact for over 1,500 enquiries annually.
• Assess incoming inquiries, determine customer requirements, and advance opportunities through the sales process to closure.
• Organize and schedule customer consultation meetings for the appropriate BDM in the field when customers request in-person discussions.
• Collaborate closely with BDMs to ensure a smooth transition of field opportunities, providing robust internal support to keep them actively engaged in the market.
• Prepare precise and timely quotations, room designs, and product suggestions for clients.
• Maintain a current and accurate CRM, ensuring all inquiries, opportunities, and customer interactions are logged and followed up on promptly.
• Assist with the tender function as workload permits, supporting the Tender Specialist with submissions, documentation, and coordination.
• Cultivate and sustain warm, professional long-term customer relationships, inspiring them with new products and insights provided by our in-house marketing team.
• Conduct outbound calls to prospects and existing customers as needed, primarily focusing on inbound inquiry management during the initial period.
• Execute sales campaigns and strategies established by the sales leadership team to enhance market penetration and customer retention.
• Consistently uphold the Sebel brand proposition, ensuring that every customer interaction positively reflects on the brand.
• 2-4+ years of experience in an internal sales, account management, or customer-facing sales support position.
• Proven experience managing high volumes of inquiries while maintaining quality and accuracy under pressure.
• Consistent history of achieving or surpassing activity-based targets.
• Experience within a B2B sales context.
• Demonstrated capability to advance opportunities through a structured sales process from inquiry to closure.
• Familiarity with CRM systems for managing pipelines and accurately recording customer interactions.
• Exceptional verbal communication skills with a confident, warm, and professional phone presence, comfortable managing a high volume of incoming calls.
• Strong listening, qualifying, and responding skills to meet customer needs efficiently and empathetically.
• High self-motivation and the ability to independently manage a significant volume of simultaneous inquiries and tasks.
• Excellent organizational skills – adept at juggling multiple responsibilities without overlooking details.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain strong customer relationships in a phone and digital-first environment.
• Commercially aware – identifies and seizes opportunities with confidence.
• Resilient and persistent – maintains a positive, energetic attitude under pressure or during setbacks.
• Team-oriented collaborator who works closely with field-based BDMs and supports colleagues in achieving common goals.
• Proficient in CRM systems, MS Office suite (Word, Outlook, Excel), and capable of quickly learning new platforms.
