Intern - Socio-Economic Analysis, Satellite Communications, Regional Railways

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Analyze communication needs for regional and low-density railway lines.

• Evaluate the applicability of GovSatCom services to railway operations.

• Compare satellite and terrestrial communication technologies regarding performance, costs, coverage, resilience, and scalability.

• Conduct socio-economic assessments and cost-benefit analyses.

• Review pertinent European initiatives, policies, and market trends.

• Prepare a comprehensive report detailing findings, conclusions, and recommendations.

• Assess railway communication needs along with the benefits and limitations of GovSatCom for railway applications.

• Compare GovSatCom with alternative telecommunications solutions.

• Evaluate technical, economic, and social impacts.

• Suggest future deployment scenarios across Europe.

• Assist in a strategic study on Governmental Satellite Communications for regional railway lines throughout Europe.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree (or a final-year Master's student) in Economics, Business Administration, Economics and Commerce, or a related field is required.

• Strong analytical and research skills are essential.

• Full professional proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is necessary.

• Legal authorization to work within the EU is required.

• Employment visa sponsorship is not available.

• Preferred knowledge in transportation, telecommunications, infrastructure economics, or innovation studies.

• Preferred experience in data analysis and report writing.

• Preferred familiarity with AI tools and digital research methodologies.

• Preferred knowledge of French and/or other European languages.
