Intern, Environmental Health

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Provide assistance for ASTHO’s initiatives focused on Environmental Health.

• Contribute to ASTHO’s food safety projects, specifically in product development and project coordination.

• Collaborate closely with the Director and Assistant Director of Environmental Health.

• Support programmatic efforts in environmental health, with an emphasis on food safety.

• Organize conference calls and take notes for ASTHO workgroups on food, water, housing, and other relevant topics as necessary.

• Conduct research, gather, and integrate information for technical assistance requests related to emerging environmental health concerns.

• Assist in the creation of ASTHO Environmental Health products, which may include blogs, briefs, and reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in public health, environmental health, health policy, or a related discipline.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple projects, and completing assigned tasks promptly.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills.

• Proven public speaking abilities.
