Intermediate Software Developer in Test, SDET

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Enhance product quality and deployment assurance by designing and maintaining automated testing frameworks for an AWS-based SaaS platform.

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and platform teams to ensure comprehensive testing of new features.

• Deliver dependable automated test coverage for essential workflows.

• Incorporate automated tests into deployment and release processes.

• Track test execution outcomes and enhance pipeline quality indicators.

• Engage in code reviews and testing evaluations.

• Support the onboarding and mentorship of junior testers.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 3 years of professional experience in software testing.

• More than 2 years of experience in writing automated tests.

• Some post-secondary education in fields such as computer science, software engineering, quality assurance, or software testing.

• Strong practical experience in creating automated test suites.

• Experience in incorporating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and release processes.

• Experience in investigating test failures, analyzing logs, troubleshooting unreliable tests, and working with developers to quickly resolve defects.

• Knowledge of modern testing methodologies, including atomic tests, reusable test components, test reliability, and shift-left quality practices.

• Proficient in testing across Windows, Mac OS, iOS, and Android platforms.

• Must possess fluent communication skills in both written and spoken English.

• Must have a valid work permit or be a permanent resident or citizen of Canada.
