
Intermediate Backend Engineer – Platform Readiness

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada, +1 more country.
• Develop and sustain agentic workflow components on the Duo Agent Platform, which includes the Core Agentic Workflow and Requirements Agent; create tests, documentation, and evaluations.
• Enhance the platform requirements knowledge base by incorporating requirements, evolving the schema, and refining validation tools.
• Collaborate with platform teams to convert their expertise into structured requirements.
• Construct integration surfaces across issues, merge requests, design documents, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Work in conjunction with Infrastructure, Security, and Data platform teams to generate platform readiness artifacts and domain skills.
• Produce clear documentation and evaluations to validate agentic-workflow behavior and enhance assessment accuracy.
• Partner with platform teams, feature teams, and product management to guarantee that features comply with platform readiness requirements prior to deployment.
• A minimum of 2 years of software engineering experience with an emphasis on backend development.
• Proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Python, or Golang.
• Comfortable reading and contributing to YAML, JSON Schema, and structured content.
• Experience with and operational exposure to Kubernetes, including understanding failure modes.
• Ability to work asynchronously and communicate effectively in writing.
• Exposure to and experience with LLM APIs, prompts, or agentic frameworks.
• Familiarity with Ruby.
• Experience with GitLab-style workflows, including issues, epics, merge requests, and CI/CD.
• Contributions to open-source projects.
• Interest in developer experience or platform engineering.
• Hands-on experience with an agentic workflow framework such as DAP or LangGraph.
• Experience in contributing to a structured requirements or specification body and evolving schemas.
