Interim Associate Director IT Governance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Oversee the IT Governance function across Portfolio Management, Performance & Insights, and Financials & Analytics.

• Take ownership of and enhance the Governance operating model continuously.

• Establish and uphold governance standards for portfolio steering, performance management, and financial/vendor management.

• Create enterprise-wide KPIs and reporting standards.

• Lead and preside over governance forums addressing demand management, OpEx/CapEx reviews, and architecture alignment.

• Propel the standardization and automation of governance reporting.

• Assess governance maturity and adoption across various domains and functions.

• Represent Governance in CIO Management Business Reviews.

• Offer portfolio, performance, and financial insights to the CIO and senior IT leadership.

• Coordinate with C-level and board-level stakeholders on governance, investment, performance, and financial matters.

• Facilitate architecture alignment within the broader Governance operating model.

• Lead and coordinate a team of 10 across the areas of Portfolio Management, Performance & Insights, and Financials & Analytics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree in Business Administration, IT Management, or a related field.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in IT governance, portfolio management, or financial management, including leadership roles.

• Demonstrated history of managing structured governance cycles within a matrixed organization.

• Deep understanding of IT governance, operating models, and organizational design.

• Experience implementing established frameworks such as COBIT and ITIL as applicable.

• Proven experience in designing and executing strategic planning, portfolio management, and performance management capabilities.

• Familiarity with methodologies like OKRs, OGSM, or similar frameworks.

• Knowledge of agile operating models and portfolio governance.

• Experience in environments utilizing frameworks such as SAFe or equivalent.

• Proven capability to design automation-first governance processes and integrate governance into workflows, processes, and digital products.
