Integration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Develop and maintain the integrations that allow Light to connect with multi-tenant banking APIs (such as J.P. Morgan, HSBC, and others).

• Navigate the complexities of bank integrations, including certificate-based and mTLS authentication, OAuth flows, ISO 20022, and legacy MT formats.

• Create integrations that ensure credentials, configurations, and data are kept separate for each tenant.

• Link Light to e-invoicing networks and comply with country-specific mandates.

• Address compliance-related edge cases and maintain an auditable delivery process.

• Guarantee idempotency, implement retries, establish webhook and polling strategies, manage dead-letter handling, and oversee end-to-end reconciliation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Ideally, possess 4-6 years of relevant experience.

• You create actual products—not prototypes or demos. Your work results in functional software deployed in production, benefiting real users; this is a must-have.

• You have experience building integrations with demanding external systems. You are familiar with APIs that are outside your control, which may fail in unexpected ways, where accuracy is crucial.

• You have knowledge of banking and payments APIs. Direct, hands-on experience with corporate banking, treasury, or payments APIs distinguishes the top candidates.

• You are enthusiastic about AI and leverage AI tools effectively to enhance your work processes.

• You are versatile across the technology stack. While you don't need to be an expert in every area, you should be willing to explore beyond your comfort zone.

• You prioritize data integrity. You consider the end user and the transactions occurring between them, and you recognize when a process is functioning but may be fragile, taking action to address it.

• You deliver work frequently and in small increments. You learn from each iteration and prefer to present something tangible to a customer rather than spend excessive time perfecting it in isolation.
