Insurance Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Address unpaid or denied claims through the use of proprietary software, telephone communications, written correspondence, client systems, and insurance carrier web portals.

• Examine UB04 claim forms, EOBs, medical records, and other relevant documentation to identify appropriate actions for claim resolution.

• Stay updated on client preferences and established issues.

• Achieve monthly production and quality targets.

• Adhere to HIPAA privacy regulations.

• Execute additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification.

• A minimum of one year of accounts receivable experience in a physician or hospital setting is preferred.

• Familiarity with UB04 claim forms, EOBs, and medical records is preferred.

• At least one year of experience with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, or other electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of computer operations.

• Capability to work efficiently in a remote setting.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Fundamental math skills (addition, subtraction, percentage calculations, etc.).

• Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting documents, contracts, notes, and other forms of correspondence.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

• Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail.

• Capacity to work at a computer terminal for 6-8 hours a day.

• Ability to occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 20 lbs.
