This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North America.
β’ Conduct follow-up on insurance billing and collection procedures.
β’ Ensure the accuracy and completeness of insurance documentation and claims.
β’ Communicate with insurance companies to hasten payments from various payers for physician services.
β’ Assess patient accounts to confirm timely and precise payment of physician fees.
β’ Leverage Epic, system tools, and payer websites for claim submissions and inquiries.
β’ Achieve Quality Assurance and efficiency standards on a daily basis.
β’ Collaborate with management and team members to address any issues.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as directed by the supervisor and/or manager.
β’ High school diploma or an equivalent high school certification, or a combination of education and/or experience.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of experience in bookkeeping/accounting and/or a medical collection environment.
β’ Skills: Claims Resolution, Collections Strategies, Computer Literacy, Confidential Data Handling, Epic EHR, Health Insurance Billing, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA), ICD-10 Procedure Coding System, Insurance Follow-Up, Medical Billing and Coding, Medical Terminology, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Office Equipment, Telephone Communications.
