This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Gathers insurance details from patients and provides guidance on alternative financial assistance options.
• Collaborates with physicians and clinical staff to facilitate scheduling of urgent or referred patient requests and calls.
• Delivers patient scheduling services that include collecting demographic information and registering insurance details.
• Reviews and updates the schedule for new patients as needed.
• Contacts patients to remind them of their appointment times; collects insurance information and referral documents.
• Manages internal physician referrals for clinical services.
• Clarifies the billing process to patients and addresses inquiries from patients as well as third-party payers.
• Works collaboratively with others to address moderately complex issues.
• Aids patients with insurance-related questions concerning the billing process.
• Supports staff in distributing reminder cards and handling other scheduling responsibilities.
• Makes daily adjustments and temporary modifications to provider scheduling templates based on physician feedback.
• High school diploma or equivalent certification, or a combination of education and/or experience.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Billing Systems.
• Strong Customer Service skills.
• Experience with Epic EHR.
• Knowledge of Financial Information.
• Familiarity with Insurance processes.
• Excellent Interpersonal Communication skills.
• Support experience in a Medical Office setting.
• Competence in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Skills in Microsoft Word.
• Strong Organizational abilities.
• Effective Prioritization skills.
• Experience in Scheduling.
• Knowledge of Third Party Claims processes.
• Up to 22 days of vacation.
