This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, document, and uphold standardized specifications for event tracking, encompassing naming conventions, payload formats, and parameter application.
• Take ownership of and manage a centralized, version-controlled event registry for both web and mobile platforms.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Analytics stakeholders to convert business needs into structured tracking specifications.
• Work alongside Engineering to assist in the implementation, deployment, and validation of instrumentation across digital products.
• Confirm event tracking through quality assurance processes, monitoring, and debugging tools to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
• Uphold governance standards concerning taxonomy, mandatory fields, naming conventions, and event consistency.
• Manage the intake, prioritization, and change management processes for tracking requests related to instrumentation.
• Detect and address inconsistencies, duplications, and gaps in event tracking across various platforms.
• Aid in the configuration and upkeep of tag management systems, analytics SDKs, and collection tools in accordance with platform standards.
• Keep documentation updated and advocate for best practices to ensure uniform instrumentation across teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Product Management, Library Sciences, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Over 3 years of experience in digital instrumentation, analytics implementation, quality assurance, or data governance roles.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: At least 2 years of experience collaborating with Product, Marketing, Engineering, or Analytics teams to define tracking requirements.
• Event Architecture: Fundamental understanding of event-driven tracking systems, data layers, and client-side instrumentation patterns.
• Instrumentation QA & Validation: Proven experience in validating event tracking within web and mobile environments, inclusive of debugging and monitoring tools.
• Governance & Documentation: Experience in maintaining event registries, taxonomies, and enforcing standards for data collection.
• Platform Familiarity: Familiarity with tag management systems, analytics SDKs, and instrumentation workflows.
• Problem Solving: Capability to identify inconsistencies in tracking and propose structured solutions.
• Willingness to travel occasionally, both domestically and internationally.
